Solo Shooter

Solo shooter systems also called delay timers are an ideal way for the lone shooter to practice. At Long Range we have developed a delay timer that is adjustable between 0.2 seconds and 6 seconds. The timer is connected to the “pull cord” at the trap. You then set the desired delay and press the button or foot switch at the end of the pull cord, after the delay time is reached the trap will fire.

Using two delay timers one on each of two traps and setting two different delays it is nearly possible to simulate a report pair.

The R3-500FM receiver is the latest receiver developed by Long Range. The receiver now utilizes both AM and FM receiving modes increasing the number of traps which can be operated to 64.

The receiver is fully backward compatible and operates with any 500 series transmitter. The new IP67 rated enclosure and manufacturing process ensure protection against the elements and trouble free operation.

The R3-500FM can be used on any automatic trap machine, 12volt, 24volt and 110volt. Please specify at time of ordering if the receiver is to be used on 110volt machine as you will need an optional 12volt wall transformer.

The T3A-500 transmitter operates two traps, to throw singles, report or true pairs. With the capability to operate up to 64 traps on 32 different fields.

The address of the receiver is set by dip switches that are located inside the battery door on the back of the transmitter.

The unit uses a singles 9volt battery and has an operating distance in excess of 400 yards. To save battery power the unit will go into sleep mode after 5 minutes.

For the solo shooter this unit can be upgraded with a voice release.

TheT3C-500 is usually referred to as our mobile 5-Stand controller. It comes standard with a 12 Volt charger and NiMh rechargeable batteries for hours of use on a single charge. It has two charging ports located on either side of the unit. Either one can be used for recharging.

This unit works great for many applications and has multiple functions. It will operate up to four 5-Stands with eight traps per field. When used in 5-Stand mode traps can be fired by simply pressing the number of trap you want to fire. To fire a true pair, press the true pair button followed by the two traps and press fire. Will control a FITASC layout for over 8 hours.

Additional features of the T3C-500 include:
A 0 to 7 second delay for the solo shooter. 
A wobble trap function that will independently turn your horizontal and vertical functions on or off in addition to nudging the machine slightly to change the target presentation.

The T3C-500 will also count all of the targets that were thrown by an individual or a group. When used in Sporting Clay mode you can walk through your course and enter the station you wish to shoot. Once you have chosen a station the transmitter will know what receivers it needs to throw without interfering with the group in front of or behind you. This allows you to send multiple groups out on the course at one time. You can also send an individual out on the course and set a delay so that they can practice by themselves.

The T3D-500 is our most sophisticated controller, featuring 4 modes: 5-Stand Mode. Pre-programmed with 3 permanent 5-Stand levels utilizing 6 traps or program your own custom levels utilizing up to 8 traps per station.

Select a program, enter the number of players, and the unit will begin on stand 1, shooter 1 - automatically advancing to the next shooter and next set of targets. A "NoBird" button will adjust the program and re-throw the selected targets in the event of a broken target.

Flush/FlurryMode. When in the flush mode the T3D will ask how many players, how many traps and how many targets. All traps will fire initially then random traps will throw until the specified number of targets have been released. A "pause" function will stop the game if desired.

Manual Mode. This is the basic mode, which allows you to choose any trap 1-8 and throw them as a single, or choose two and throw pairs.

System Mode. Features additional functions such as programming delays; setting receiver activation time or the amount of signal transmitted; system reset; chansging the User Code; re-allocating the buttons and receivers; and settingthe time.

The T3D requires the use of a 12V adapter wall plug or you can use a set of Alligator clips and connect it directly to a 12V car battery. Adapter and Alligator clips are supplied with the unit.

The Hub acts as a central pickup point for the MT4300. All traps are wired to the hub which can be placed in front of the shooting line. This eliminates the need for wires to be run behind the shooters. This is ideal where the club has all the traps on a 5 Stand hard wired to a central point. The standard hub can control 8 traps and can be expanded to control 15 traps.

Voice Operated Systems

For a solo shooter a voice operated system has always been the best way to practice or just have some fun. The Long Range voice operated systems are small and self contained doing away with having to drag pull cords around. The two systems, VT3A will operate two traps and the VT3C will operate up to eight traps. When your buddy gets back simply unplug the voice box and the transmitters can be used as normal by pressing the buttons.

This is the standard T3C-500 with a voice control unit attached. By first selecting which traps you would like to fire from the keypad on the T3C-500 up to 8 traps can be controlled using your voice.

This is great for the solo shooter who has more than two traps and wants some good practice without interruption.
With the voice unit unplugged the transmitter operates as a standard T3C-500.

Target key counter systems

Smart chip technology provides very secure and reliable storage for information. The TARGETKey system is designed featuring a “Smart” chip on a key-shaped carrier that can be programmed to either count down or count up individual targets or rounds of 25. Each counter control unit features a Solo Shooter system, allows individual shooters to set a delay for both trap 1 and trap 2. Every stand has a location-specific ID number that eliminates the threat of fraud. Each key will store shooter name, key ID, and target count. Counts single targets, pairs, or rounds of 25 for trap, skeet, and 5-Stand applications. Two colors available to differentiate members/guests; trap/sporting; count up/down. Two versions of the TargetKey counter are available, hard wired and wireless. The hard wired version is connected directly to each trap. Power for the counter unit is drawn from one of the traps which becomes trap 1. For this reason a three core cable is required just on trap one. We recommend at least an 18 gauge cable. The wireless system now uses our new 4300 series wireless transceivers. Using wireless removes the need for cords between the trap machines and shooting station. Making maintenance and moving machines easier. Using the wireless system does require a 12 volt power source at each stand. The TargetKey software is used to issue keys and track customer usage. TargetKey Remote Release

This is a remote release system for your skeet field which can also be used on trap or sporting clays.
Used in conjunction with your TargetKey counter system the receiver connects in place of the “pull” cord.

No extra power source required as the receiver gets power from the TargetKey counter control unit.
Instant release and true pairs. Each field has its own frequency so no interference between fields.
